Re-Oweek

The students of Selwyn celebrated their return home last week with seven days of continuous partying and debauchery.
On monday we held a hop in The Catacombs, (common room). Free beer and Spirits, were availible. Bottom floor sargood ended up on the recieving end of broken bottles and holes in the walls from an out of control party.
Tuesday was the night of The Selwyn pub crawl. The south dunedin pub The Cock and Bull was demolished, where jugs of beer were stolen, drunken then telephoned. This was followed by a trip out to Porto Bello. JD gave everyone cans of beer to drink while standing around the couch fire he had created. The net effect of the beer was about 50 drunken students deciding to jump over the fire which was still raging. I thought i could beat this. So in my state of innebriation jumped into the middle of the fire kicked away some of the couches and proceeded to perform an irish jig while singing a rendition of Johnny Cash's "Burning Ring of Fire". Still not entirely sure how i got out alive....
The party ended with the arrival of two fire engines, three police cars and the cast of the television show, Police 10/7. JD and Alan Steele were arrested and charged with arson, losing their diversions. I got out with a huge grin, a bigger ego than i had before and even greater pride in my virility....
Wednesday was a quiet night for most of Selwyn. And most spent the day nursing hangovers. I thought i might try and polish off the rest of my crate which resulted in a very early night.
Most of Selwyn gathered in The Vatican (Dunedin Club) on Thursday night to have a dance party, nothing much exciting happened. Count stands at nine this year Gus if you wanted to know.
Friday was spent in lectures and in Labs so hit it late (6 pm).
The residents of Selwyn were entertained by a rubiks cube hop in town on saturday night, cheap drinks have the usual and expected effect on every scarfie. Count now stands at 10
